Did you know meerkats are amazing mammals? They are brown and they stand on two feet. They live in the desert under the ground. Meerkekats live in southern Africa. They eat insects, grasshopper, beetles, spiders, small snakes, and mice. Meerkats belong to the mongoose family.
They also eat bird eggs and some plants. Young meerkats are call kits. They are fully grown at about six months old. As you can see, meerkats are awesome creatures.
